Webster NY Firefighter Shot Audio

On Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 a gunman open fire on four firefighters from Webster NY as they arrived on scene of a car and house on fire. Two firefighters were killed, two others were shot. The audio is of the incidents. We are posting to show the true bravery of the firefighter who was shot and pinned down due to the gun fire.
Our thought and prayers go to all affected in this horrible tragedy.

my belief we trust fireman with our lives as we do police then it is not only thier right but our duty to arm them with the tools they need to protect or homes and themselves

example 2 what if we trained the fireman being shot at to use such a weapon to defend themselves maybe even carry similar weapons in the fire truck with them(please dont miss understand and think I am taking away from there unltimate sacrifice) but what if could it have been different? would it have even happened?

I believe the best thing is to aknowledge these mens courageous service and also to understand the same breath

that disarming men and women of the US is not the answer.being these guns were already illegally owned without any new laws

example: what if a home owner close to where the shots where fired was trained and possesed a weapon to nuetralize the gunman

God Rest their souls. Unfortunately I was able to stand in the flag line for one but not the other due to another obligation. It was one of the saddest events that I have stood for.

the US only counts Aggrevated Assault (WITH A WEAPON) as violent crime, whereas Canada also includes Assault level 1, which is basically any aggressive physical contact. Pushing and punching is vastly more common in any any country than knifings or shootings, so it's no surprise our "violent crime" rate looks higher. Aside from that, the issue on the table is gun murders, and a gun murder is a gun murder in any country.

The crime rate in the US is actually not very high for developed nations.. We have a comparatively high murder rate, yes, but the overall and violent crime rates are actually pretty low. Our overall crime rates are 1/3 that of the UK's and the violent crime rate is 1/5 that of the UK (even according to UK-based news like Daily Mail). Hell, our violent crime rate is less than 1/2 that of Canada's.

And the "highest execution rate" is likely because all of Europe has abolished capital punishment.
