  • An amazing dance performed by an amazing couple. They have such chemistry and still manage to dance one spectacular dance after another even though they are not romanticly linked anymore, they still dance as a couple. Well done Vincent & Flavia

  • Absolutely beautiful and has to be one of the best things I've ever seen on Strictly. Why the BBC don't upload it on their own channel I don't know!! Thanks so much for putting it up :)

  • @francescalittle they are real AT dancers have you seen thier other videos? amazing

  • @technophiles the tango waltz is a type of dance that you can dance at a milonga. the music and steps is different to traditional tango

  • @uclmu2008 Argentine Tango isn't included in Dancesport- competitive ballroom dancing. However, there are different forms of tango. This couple are doing a show tango, since it is the most interesting to watch. The footwork is tango and they use a tango embrace which is different to the ballroom hold.

  • @bretzvla "Desde El Alma" (From the soul) is the name of the song of Roberto Selles and I think this version is of Color Tango.

  • I sometimes find argentine tango a little harsh but this mix was perfect, took me straight to the moonlit streets of paris!

  • lovely, but soooo ballroom :-).

  • @francescalittle: Agreed, these guys use the original steps (mostly) and music. What I meant is that the presentation (posture, embrace, footwork) makes it ballroom. The same holds for ballroom Samba, Salsa, Charleston or Swing. These dances have a life of their own in ballroom, though the original steps + music are used, because they are danced with ballroom postures + footwork. Kind of like ballet contre-danse which has the contre-danse steps but looks like ballet due to posture and footwork.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • @uclmu2008 I'm all for incorporating AT into other dance forms. Alternative tango milongas are very popular and you've probably heard of "swango". However, these guys are not doing anything different. They are doing the "correct" moves and they are dancing to authentic argentine tango music, which is why I'm judging them by traditional AT standards. In contrast, shows like "So you think you can dance" incorporate AT into ballroom, and if the dancers are good, it can look very cool.
