Same people different Gimmick. They were also the Grimm Twins (Jared and Jason) for a short time in the WWF as well.

The Blu Brothers look a lot like the Bruise Brothers (Ron & Don Harris) from Smokey Mountain Wrestling and later ECW in 1994. They also kind of look like Skull & 8-Ball from the Disciples of Apocolypse stable w/ Chainz (Prime Time Brian Lee) & Crush - although if I remember Skull & 8-Ball were bald.

The Blu Brothers theme music seems fitting while I'm on I-20 in Texas between Odessa and Abilene. John Layfield used this theme and he's from Sweetwater.

Despite all that, this was a big win for the Smoking Gunns, as they have been floating since losing the Tag-Team Championship to Owen and Yoko at WrestleMania 11. So, this win definately got the Gunns back on track to eventually regain the titles.

The Allied Powers were tanking, so they turned Davey heel so they could make him a threat to the WWE Title. Luger's contract was almost up, so he just did the run-in to save Diesel. As far as other top guys being off of cards, they could still afford to be off, so some new guys could establish themselves.

They didn't have a match, but they were at SummerSlam when Gorilla announced that they would be in the tripleheader match at September's In Your House.
