Footage of damage directly after the 6 magnitude earthquake in Christchurch on the 23rd of December 2011, New Zealand. The second of three quakes in one day, this one at 3:18pm. Filmed in a supermarket in the city. Broken wine bottles, wine on the floors. Shopping continued as usual.

@jadescape There are plenty of videos, security videos and home set ups. It's impossible to turn the camera on during an earthquake... just impossible...especcially thsi big.

As a dweller in christchurch, I would have thought they wouldve had better display shelving to withstand theese abrupt shudders. now if they had theese in place at the time there is no need to waste anymore of the insurers and governmants money as we are the ones that are going to feel the pinch.
