@ cavx2, it was a 2007 Sandpiper Sport 40FSXP. Big sumbitch. But the truck pulled it with no problems... My brother has the same trailer but 38ft, two axle.

@ tgreening, The driver makes it safe. You don't need DRW to tow, sure it's nice. DRW is more for a load. Ford has the strongest frame in the industry. Suspension is a 1 ton. Still no problem. The 5R110 is nipping and the ass of the allison, so watch out GM!!! Oh, and one more thing, if GM and DODGE are so much better than FORD, why did they need a bailout? Just asking... Come on back if you geniuses have anything else...

Sorry it has taken me so long to comment back on this video. I was unaware, until recently, that it was on You Tube. That is my truck it this video. I put 60,000 miles on my truck pulling that 5th wheel WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS!!! And only $2200 in up grades dodgeguy518!!! I currently have 97K on the truck and just replaced the brakes... yeah I know... Ford didn't believe it either. Now I have a 27ft 5th wheel so I can tow my boat behind it and still be legal in CA.

and no im not refering too the 6.0 powerstroke in the video but there junk also without 4k in upgrades
-
ill tow that POS ticking v 10 back words side ways or forwards and get twice the milage you get at idle
-
That truck is just fine for that unit. Should have a dually, but wadda ya do. My 2007 F350 V10 will tow a cummins backwards and get the same shitty mileage
-
the trailer has electric breaks so the truck is ok to haul that trailer.
-
what size is that? i have the exact same trailer mines a 37 foot sandpiper sport with only 2 axels,
-
@WeAreAllAroundGaming to put quads, dirt bikes and other shit in the back, then party with people when you get there
-
Why would you ever need an RV that big? for god sakes its a seventh wheel!
yea right ford is the best it can tow mostly anything

@Twil12009 At least somebody brought this up. It's a classic case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Sure the truck will pull it. It has the same engine as an F350/450/etc. The problem is the frame, suspension, and even most important BRAKES. There's no way that truck should be pulling that trailer down the highway. I have a 43' triple axle toy hauler like that that weighs 16,500lbs and I pull it with a DRW F450. That truck is not safe.
