First, it is important to understand that SHARK has a great deal of respect for good law enforcement personnel. Society could not get along without these dedicated men and women.

Because of the importance of GOOD law enforcement, we find those who abuse their authority to be have an extremely corrosive effect on society.

February 2007, a San Antonio bike cop with an agenda harasses the crew of a video truck showing rodeo cruelty video right outside AT&T's (a rodeo sponsor) headquarters. Then the police ignore videotaped crime against the same people. Call it what it is -- Corruption!

  • Do you go to the place he works and show his boss the video tape? Does this certain cop lose his job? What happens to him?

  • @MrWillbarrel When we come across a cop such as this who tries to make up his own laws, we send the video evidence in to his/her superiors. For the most part, Internal Affairs rulings are safeguarded from FOIA and we usually hear nothing in return. But that's okay. We did what we needed to do. In this case, we went to court on the appointed date, the officer was a no-show so everything was dismissed.

  • I am sorry but "white light projecting to the rear" ? was there some kind of projection lamp or light mounted on the video truck?

  • @OkamsRazer No

  • Was she receiving a TV broadcast?

Law: No television viewer, screen or other means of visually receiving a television broadcast can be located in the field of view of the operator of the vehicle while the vehicle is in motion.

    Statute: Tex. Transp. Code § 547.611 (2007)

    Penalties: No penalty specified.

  • @davidwoodslink No. No television receiver.

  • @MrCheckitout123 - Adding 500% more police officers would do nothing about burglaries. The ratio of space to cover to officers is simply to great.

  • @cdimmm You consent when you sign your driver's license. Stop trying to be smart.

  • what a prick

  • OH and I am sure you folks are well aware of the irony of a cop being 'schooled' on the law of the state, and his name being La Maestra (Teacher, Master...) oddly though its 'a' form not Maestro...so La Maestra means literally "female teacher, female mistress, etc"

  • @quitebaffled13 Keep the city safe, hmmm, per 2001-2007 average, a burglary happens just about every 10 minutes. Could his time be better spent, ask the person who just burglarized.

  • HE SEEMS LIKE A NICE OFFICER.
