This is Raja....my f5 Savannah / f3 Bengal cat taking his bath.....Raja was born in the summer of 2005.....I am his 3rd owner....I found Raja around Christmas 2010....he came around twice before i caught him...so i took him to the vet and they located a unregistered chip in his neck.... it led me to where he was chipped and his 1st owner....the original owner had given Raja to another person 2 years prior...and had no way of tracking them down....so this is how I ended up with this magnificent animal...Raja is an awesome cat....he is 19 pounds and is a rather large marbled cat....when he stands on his back feet he is about 2 1/2 feet tall....i don't know much about his breed except for what his original owner told me..i do know he likes lots of attention and he is not a snuggler.....he makes the strangest noises...and will talk up a storm...I'm guessing that's the Bengal in him..as for his size that must be the Savannah in him....Raja also requires a special diet and care.....now there has been a lot of negative comments about his bath...but let me assure you folks who question my care for him...Raja is nothing but loved here....treated like a prince....and as far as his bath goes....he gets one twice a year...if that...

  • I love how every one knows that bathing a cat is oh so terrible! I mean, sure, if they got into chemicals from a street, oh yeah, they can just lick it off and die. At least they didnt get this terrible bath! And, infections, yeah, let them lick it out instead of someone cleaning it thoroughly. Because, a cat having a bath is sssoooo TERRIBLE! PS- you idiots who are saying bathing a cat is torture, this is sarcasm. Your probably too stupid and blind to realize it though.

  • @Dannan1989 You're an idiot (and possibly a troll). A vet studies to learn about skin care/general health/etc. You, on the other hand? You rely on "common knowledge" as opposed to actual fact. You can't even understand that "regular" refers to "set interval", ie "I got my regular quarterly bill".

How regular the bath is depends on many factors, but they're not 'harmful' unless they're excessive, or the wrong shampoo is used.

I won't waste my time further on ignorant people.

  • That cat is going to kill you in your sleep.... XD

  • @love5life not all cats clean themselves, and the ones that do clean themselves don't always do a thorough job

  • What a cutie.

  • I knew a Cat that absolutely LOVED baths. In fact you had to be careful of her not joining a "human sized" bath with so much water she would drown in it. You wanted to bath alone, after a few minutes you were not alone anymore. ^w^

  • We have an 18 year old cat who can no longer groom herself. Were it not for us wiping her down with a wet towel and brushing her shed be in terrible shape.

    Baths are good when necessary.

  • they clean themselves 24/7 for a reason...you don't need to be doing that...

  • While I know it's good for him, my experience with cats tells me it may be rather dangerous for you!

  • I gave my cat a bath once, I was 12. I haven't given it one since then, I'm 18 now. Adorable cat but it went physcotic on my arms.

  • Get that fuzzball a hair dryer.

  • Reminds me of my cat.
