Sillage and projection are different. Sillage is more linear; it's the invisible trail left behind you. Projection is spherical; it's the bubble that surrounds you when standing still. Nice video and a good way to introduce those newer to fragrances to "fragrance speak". Thumbs up!

I personally prefer a cologne with great silliage over great projection, although usually they go hand in hand, because I would hate to choke people out with my cologne by just standing there. Instead, I think it's best if you walk by someone and they get a little hint of what you're wearing.

for me ,sillage is also the smess that you kind of leave on your cloth or your car that kind of "tail smell"
