What You Don't Know: Mission to the "Zoo"- Chapter 4!!!

Hey everyone! Ok, first off I just want to say that I love the song in the video... it's called "Double Rainbow"... anyway, here is the next chapter! You are another chapter closer to actually finding out what's going on! lol Enjoy!!

Kevin: No Jessi. That is not what the streamers are for. (laughing)
Jessi: (tying a piece of the steamers around her head) They aren't for being a ninja then?...well that's lame. (giggling uncontrollably)
Denise: (walks out and chuckles at Jessi and Kevin) Ok you two. We need to start the party before midnight. (she sets down a plate of baked potatoes and corn.)
Kevin: Yes Mom. (continues hanging up the steamers and eventually Jessi gets more serious and helps him out.)
Jessi: So I am taking it that Joe isn't back from his task yet.
Kevin: (shrugs) He should be back soon. (They have been calling these small missions that Joe continues to do "tasks". They see calling it a mission is more along the lines of saving the planet. Also, the families are the only people that know that they were junior operatives.) Finished. (as he hangs up that last bit of streamer. He hears a blow dryer from the upstairs bathroom.) I think Joe is home.
Denise: That's great. (she walks out and puts silverware on the table.) Dinner won't be ready for awhile so you and Jessi can go do something for awhile.
Kevin: Are you sure you don't need any help?
Denise: (smiles) Yes but thank you Kevin. (she disappears back into the kitchen)
(Jessi and Kevin go out to the living room and turn on MarioKart Wii. Just then Joe comes downstairs.)
Joe: Hey guys. (sits down next to Jessi)
Kevin: Hey. (looks down at his arm. There is a huge swollen cut across the top of his forearm, which he got on his "task".) Joe are you sure that's not going to get infected? (concerned)

Kevin's flashback:

Nurse: (finishes stitching up Joe's arm as Joe sits on the patient bed and Kevin stands next to him.) There you go. (she takes all of her tiny equipment and tools and leaves the room.)
(They sit there in silence. It has been a couple of hours since they have seen Nick)
Doctor: (a tall gray haired man) Hello? Are you the Jonas'?
Kevin: Yes. We are. (replies quickly) What is the news on Nick?
Doctor: (his icy blue eyes became saddened) Well Nicholas was shot in his left side and the bullet happens to have come in contact with his kidney. Now we have operated and have gotten the bullet out and stitched up all of his wounds.
Kevin: (nods) But how is he?
Doctor: Well we have gotten Nicholas stable but he is very weak. I am not going to lie, he is one heck of a fighter but I don't know how much longer he is going to be able to fight it...we aren't even expecting him to make it through the night.
Joe: (after holding everything in, he suddenly breaks down) No. No, you have to save him. Please." (begs, sobbing)
Doctor: We will do everything in our power to make that possible but if we can't we will make his passing as painless as possible. I am truly sorry. I will leave you alone. (finishes and leaves the room)
Joe: (chokes out these words) Kevin. What are we gonna do? How are we gonna explain this to Mom and Dad? To Frankie? He can't die. He just can't.
Kevin: (can't hold the tears in any longer. He watched his younger brother cry and break down. He quickly wraps his arms around him and embraces him. He tried to feed him words of comfort but nothing could take away his pain) I am so sorry Joe.

End of flashback:

Joe: (replying to Kevin's previous question) What? (looks down at his arm) Oh. That's nothing. I'll be ok. (shrugs it off and watches the MarioKart game.)
