I also know a autistic kid that loves ceiling fans.... we take him to lowes and its like disneyland... whatever works for them is swell

Wow! Its great to see that we are not alone in the neverending quest for fans. Or 4 year old has loved fans since he was 2. For christmas thats all he wants is new fans. He likes to take them apart. Especially hair dryers. Sometimes he can even put them back together again! Amazing!

There are also people who are into desk fans. I remember being fascinated by fans when I was little.

it might seem crazy.. but there's a group of people who have had a "love" for ceiling fans since they were little, and now collect the things. I'm one of em' I was the same way when I was little. My parents said, from about 6months of age, i'd cry if there was NOT a fan in the room.

I'm mom of Alec, he utubed your video,saved it to favorites,created a folder and has played it @20 times. Heknowsevery model of any ceiling fan, what storesthey are sold and who has that particular fan. When he first started writing , he'd make his letters into fans! Alec is 7, and he started this at age 5, but has LOVED ceiling fans since he was 2. It was a dead giveaway for me: I knew he had Autism. I too used fans for haircuts, any restaurant w/out a fan, we can even consider!

WOW! Go Alec. Hey thanks Mom for the comment and isn't incredible how they retain so much information. Our son knows every shop & house in town that hasm usually ones he has been in or visited. PS: We always choose the places with fans it keeps him happy.
