Shooting a few rounds in the Winchester 1300 in the snowy and windblown desert of the western US. It remains my favorite pump shotgun: fast, smooth shooting, streamlined, good controls placement, and durable (never seen ANY problems with any of them after 1000s of rounds). It was a tough video shoot under the 20 mph conditions (tripod kept blowing over) and the snow glare (could hardly see the camera viewfinder) but you'll get the idea. It takes a combat mindset and commitment to shoot the shotgun accurately and fast. Most AEs underestimate the difficulty in mastering this weapon. Also included is some combat shotgun POU and a safety reminder if using the Blackhawk SERPA holster on your chestrig.

  • What side saddle are you running or would you recommend running on your 1300. I picked a 1300 up after watching your video review, great gun thanks for the info.

  • @407ForRent Nutn says he is running Sidesaddle brand and it has served well. There is also Mesa Tactical, its good, but more expensive. -- Veri

  • Please excuse my name( its a back up account). But nutnfancy what gun would you recommend for beginning hunters? I was thinking of getting a mosin nagant but my Grandfather prefers modern HUNTING weapons, What modern hunting weapons do you recommend? Please don't put anything military based. Thanks!

  • About six months ago I bought a used Winchester 1300 speed pump for $150. It has the walnut stock and forehand & 28" barrel but I'm replacing it with a 22" rifled sighted barrel. Over all... this gun is fantastic. I've put about 500 rounds through it with no issues... but, my firing pin broke. Nothing more than my fault, giving i practiced "speed pumping' with no shells in it. The firing pin is only $20, so i could give a fuck less. It never jams but i clean mine regularly. I love this gun!

  • Man that is a beautiful shotgun. I sure wish I could find one for sale. I'd but it in a heart beat. You wouldn't happen to be selling yours? Hahaha. But really man. Great video. Great shooting. Great shotgun. Keep up the good videos.
