I choose live IMO it is nature that needs to take its course.

F/T. A lot more convinient and I dont have to watch a live animal scream and die cause thats not something I enjoy. And if someone does enjoy that then I dont have a very high opinion of them. I understand doing it for money purposes or if you think its more natural. But if you do it to look cool or just because you enjoy watching the rat die then you are kinda a douche in my eyes.

live, because in africa is someone gona just throw a f/t rat out to em??

also when i feed my snake and if i get a mouse that seems a little agressive i just get something nice and sharp and hit the rodent in the head with it.so for all the people that feed strictly frozen your snake isnt geting all the vitamins it needs i meen its ok to feed frozen just not good if thats all your snake eats its good to once awhile to feed fresh killed/live if you feed strictly frozen rodents

most snakes get hurt when thier left with a live rodent and the snake doesnt want to eat.if the snake constricts it properly by wraping part of itself around the rodents neck you dont have to worry.the disadvantage about frozen is after freezing the rodents they tend to lose valueble vitamins/minerals.

I like to feed mine live but I get scared that the mice will bite back so went back to frozen

i think it bater to feed frozen

I feed live prey to my snakes. I believe that a snake needs to be able to hunt and constrict its prey. It will use its senses and instincts. Also because if you are feeding f/t then you are putting your self at risk, at least if your snake is going to become larger because when your holding that rat with tongs your hand is closer to the snake which is in feeding mode. I can go up to my snakes after feeding and they know the difference between my hand and prey. Smell and body language r different

Well said bro

Personally I find it stupid to do that. The point of f/t feeding is to prevent parasites/ damage to your reps. It only takes one parasite carrying rodent to infect your snake, therefore i don't see why someone would mix up the two. Either feed all live or all f/t

Yes, wild snakes eat live prey, but to my knowledge wild snakes are exposed to birds of prey, people with shovels, vehicles, cold spells, lack of water, lack of food, mites, ticks, etc.
Going to provide those things as well?
It is not our job as the care providers of our animals to replicate what occurs to the same species in the wild.
Once you stick a snake in a cage, natural goes out the window...
