Here is a quick drill to help with body tightness for the Top in Acrobatic Gymnastics from Brandi Lewis. It could be fun for artistic gymnastics too.

Obviously if the top isn't tight, or doesn't stay tight, the drill doesn't work.

So... what happens if the kid goes loose? Unless there's something I'm missing, this seems a bit too trial-by-fire for my tastes.
