Jan. 20, 2009 = the day Barack Obama assumed presidential office. Perhaps Powell meant to say that, once Obama is elected, during his 1st term, a crisis will test his leadership. But, in retrospect from Nov 2011, what was this? The world financial meltdown (it was already well underway)? The wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya or Somalia (most of them were well underway)? The healthcare, tax or budget "deals" (hardly major crises, except for revealing who his Wall ST masters are)?
