Man he could have kicked that guy in the face he was so close.

we are ALL ON the learning curve. its the ones who know it all who scare me..usually with their 'power trips'. he looks like he had fun and, thats the most important part when not getting seriously hurt.

How to almost kill a man 101!!!

Not just anybody could get away with that. YOU are positively a pilot bro! Good job.

Looks like you have an awesome supportive crew over there. All the hoots and yells on landing- brilliant. It's so great to have that when you are learning!

@zenji1 That my friend is what I find to be crucial to keep this sport alive. There is plenty of time for constructive criticism. But a healthy dosage of encouragement during the process gives a better success rate in retaining future pilots. In HG there should be no us and them, it should be WE. I wish you health, laughter, and good air my friend. Cheers, Glenn

was that his very first flight? Have seen a few guys fly like this for their first..ever. 2 different times, off a similar hill, they (wuffos) said they could "fly it down, no problems", so after arguing with em for a while, i let em prove me wrong by letting them fly my glider down. (1977 & 78) looked similar. wish i had a camera onboard then. base bar,,...base bar, base bar. i have some seat harnesses that need a home if your going to 'teach' this way...

Great story maniac, but Buster chose not to listen to me,and unfortunately he did not touch the base tube. Theres alot of things that should have been done differently, that was only one of them to say the least. At McClure I believe it is mandatory to at least have one hand on the base tube on approach otherwise you greatly increase your risk of an overshoot.
