  • So this kid get a lifetime. Why? In Europe this is provocation. Illegal without no words. We have also so our problems. They put people for 30 years in jail with no evidence at all. It is just not honest. ('parachutemurderer') Were you there?

  • One day he used his influence to set somebody free. Greystone Chapel. It went completely wrong. Justice = ? But to try to get somebody out? One 20 years old tried to forsell drugs to a 16 years old who worked for the police. So she shot him. I don't blame her for that.

  • They film us like caddle. Life is so boring we are a pray(ing) for television. And if we work for nothing we may not even complain. At least can we have money for our work? PRISON is the punishment. Working for nothing? There will be profiteers around. Maybe it is a part of the thing, but it is doubtfull.

  • Where did this come from? as to the missing verse, on his live albums and on TV, Cash was often made to either sing songs criminally fast, cut out verses, or both. San Quentin and Folsom are peppered with songs like that. my friend @SuperJamesrice sang the full song and sang it slow, like a prison ballad should be sung.

  • i love the talking at the end of this. 'a prisons a prison, and thats all it is.'

  • Cash used the melody of the cowboy ballad "Streets Of Laredo", which he recorded as well several times. The most famous recording is by far the version on "The Man Comes Around"

  • this song sounds a lot like a marty robins song

  • good vid. Its missing a verse though. 2nd verse says; I told him that i'd have no part no part in his scheming, my time would be over one year from today. His eyes glazed with fre, and he looked right through me. Bitter but broken again he did say...

  • have this on vinyl. what a tune!

  • Wow, what an amazing song really...
