I know that. But there was a substantial difference between The Clash's interpretation of the song and the original. Hence, this Green Day cover is a cover of a cover. Wrap your head around that.

Actually, this tune was originally done 'way back in 1964 by the Bobby Fuller Four.

the girl in blue hair is called Kaname ^ ^. I did not know that Green had copied this theme day, they remain equally well jejeje.

Saying that the punk pioneers of The Clash did it better is no insult to Green Day. Green Day would likely agree with him; they covered this song in tribute.
