  • :O How do you get that sound! I've always thought that sound was just some bad piano rendition, but I never knew it was actually possible on the Clarinet! How strong reed do you need? Anything with the embouchure? I've played Clarinet for 3 years already :)

  • @DarkwarriorJ At the time of this video (more than 4 years ago) I was playing a Vandoren A1 chrystal mouthpiece with Vandoren 3,5 reeds. The small tip helps having a clear articulation and to sound direct, of course you need a heavy reed to give the sound some substance. Succes with your clarinet playing! David.

  • Hee David, is dit je eigen quintet ?

    JUles

  • Hoi Jules, dit was een speciaal voor mijn conservatoriumexamen samengestelde band.Geen eigen 5tet dus.

  • Very hip and tasty improvisation combined with dead on ensemble playing, and great style.. I would guess the reed was the best one of the set you were using, and the length of the solo sufficient to relate the story you wanted to tell. Bravo!

  • szép. :)

  • can u upload sheet for this please....?

  • wow he did a very good job. and just because his stile isnt just like artie shaw doesnt mean he got no style in that playing.

  • Excellent clarinet playing, although his solo was perhaps a bit long.

  • i hope i get that good someday ^__^

  • haaayyyy.hope I am that good!
