He's a master of smooth, layered mixes and can perfectly blend acoustic and electronic elements into commercial Dance gold.

Fight For You
Morgan takes us through Fight For You from Believe showing how he constructed the beat, melody and unique vocals.

  • @DWebv8 Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Arty, Carl B, Maor Levi, Adam Nicky, and Deadmau5 still uses it for some things. FL Studio is fine.

  • @DWebv8 Also you dont have to own expensive equipment to make your tracks sound good

  • @puppydoganal Avicii uses it too!

  • @Fight4Reason Once all of the individual audio tracks are recorded they will all be at about the same level, some parts sounding louder than others. Mixdown takes all of these individual levels and lets you change the levels of the individual parts so they sit well with each other. Usually some effects, processing and EQ are added in this stage as well. You will also find the panning will be done in mixdown as well (being the location of the sound in the speakers)

  • Mad Props to Morgan Page. He probably explains his creative process quicker and more accurately then anyone ive heard. He would be an unbelievable teacher or mentor to an up and coming producer.

  • @makbergify sure? maybe it's the "kensington expert mouse pro"!?!?!? it's very similar....

  • @goggo9 babay ninja

  • @puppydoganal don't forget porter robinson and madeon, who both use it extensively

  • Wich trackball he uses??? someone knows???

  • @Fight4Reason

Mix down is just when you take all the tracks from your session that you've worked on (both MIDI or audio tracks) and combine them all into two tracks. From there you can put that "mix" onto a disc or play it in iTunes or wherever.

    Then there's "mastering" the tracks...

  • @Fight4Reason yeah a mix down is when you do a slight master (cutting/adding certain frequencies to certain aspects of the track, cleaning it up essentially) Making all the frequencies "fit" into your spectrum without sounding to muddy or essy. Thats not all of it though. Also, programs like ozone 4 (which is a full on mastering VST) also help you get a clean mixdown.

  • Can someone explain the difference between making a song and "mixing it down" ??
