William Butler Yeats- He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven
•
HAD I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with the golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams beneath your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams...

Yeats - Pronounced to rhyme with `Gates´ not `beats
Cloths - plural of `cloth´ - same vowel as `enwrought´ - not shortened `clothing´
there should be a slow pulse in the rhythm - then the magic emerges
