Great playthrough. Crusader was my very first game on cd. I loved it back then.

DOSbox worked fine for me

Someone needs to port this game into a more modern engine so we can fix the controls :)
Because it really is an awesome game

@Chubzdoomer Yeah, I agree. Even now, I can only play the game in small doses.
Much of the difficulty of the game comes from making the Silencer do what you want him to do and not leap off a ledge and drown in the hazardous green liquid of questionable origin.
I keep it as simple as possible, which hysterically means using the arrow keys, delete/end/page down/home, numpad 5, left shift, right ctrl, O, I, U, W, E, R, B, ctrl+D, trial and error, save/reload, and so on.
Baha.

This game's controls are a fucking abomination. They present an unnecessary learning curve that makes it incredibly difficult to even enjoy the game at all.

I want to play this game but the controls are difficult to work with.

Someone else made this comment on a different series of Crusader videos, but can you imagine WORKING here?!? Seriously, you are walking above thousands of gallons of steaming, toxic waste, without protection, and in some places there aren't even any guardrails! And don't even get me started on the barrel of flammable liquids lying around...
All things considered, Crusader probably did these people a favor.

@saucykobold Thanks for the response. It gives me hope that I may still be able to enjoy this game, knowing all this is possible with only the arrow keys.
I really really want to like this game.

One of the greatest game i ever played!CLASSIC!
You are amazing at this game! Wow!
I recently bought this and really want to like it, but the control scheme is the worst I've ever seen. And I've played and greatly enjoyed the 1992 version of Alone in the Dark, so I've played games with bad controls before.
It looks like you use the numpad. I do too, but I have trouble getting my aim right. It looks like you just got really good at positioning yourself, but I've decided I'm going to use both the numpad and the arrow keys. =x

@HaganeSteel Thanks. I don't use the number pad at all, actually. My right hand presses the arrow keys and my left usually hovers over Control-Alt-Space.

It takes practice. I think it took me about a month to get fully used to the controls.

Does anyone know of any way this game can run on Windows Vista? I try to install it in DOS and the install process will not finish. Any certain patch I could download?
And most definitely thank you for the video!

Thanks for the compliment!
Have you tried DOSBox? It's a program that lets you run old DOS games on modern computers.
For some reason, Youtube won't let me post the link in this comment box. Look for it on google.
