I have to profess to having an abundance of giddy appreciation for Rene Cardona Jnr's wondrously silly killer birds opus. It's hard not to enjoy a film where our previously be-feathered friends suddenly turn psychozoid and regard mankind as their ultimate nemesis. As with many of my mondo faves 'Beaks' doesn't seem to garner much appreciation elsewhere, which is rather odd considering the prolific amount of cinematic lunacy 'Beaks' has to offer the more discerning Grindhouse viewer. For those who could give a shit, the delightfully gonzoid Rene Cardona was a highly prolific Mexican filmmaker who excelled at churning out a plethora of lurid, cheapjack cinematic schlock: 'Tintorera' and 'Guyana: Crime of The Century' being two of his more notorious titles. Sadly Mr. Cardona is no longer with us, but fortunately for those who genuinely appreciate the more fragrant end of the B-Movie spectrum, his delightfully absurd celluloid creations remain!

  • Finally! Thank you so much for posting this! I've been wanting to see it for quite some time now!

  • Thank you!!

  • Finally!!!!!!!! This is the version I remember. The releases of this movie on DVD not only have a completely different (and much crummier) music score, but they have the hang glider attack scene occur during the pre-credits...so there are 10 minutes of the couple being attacked on the hang gliders...and THEN the credits, and then the stuff with Christopher Atkins, etc. It hurts the pacing for sure...plus the different music doesn't work as well, in my opinion.

  • This movie is for all those people who wondered what happened to Christopher Atkins after "Blue Lagoon."

  • Not related to "Beaks: The TV Show" with Erik Estrada.

  • OMFG Thanks soooo much for posting this movie..
