@TopNotchStoner Hey, sounds like someone is exclusive in his way of dealing with religions, namely that every religion is equally true and must therefore be treated equally... well, we are all exclusive in our beliefs whether it's the religion itself or the way we think about religion.-
-
@piperfam The problem is that a pivotal part of his development is corner-stoned by your beliefs, and not his own.
This is sad and pathetic, why upload this to youtube???

Reminded me of Linus VanPelt's famous recitation. :-) Bravo!

@engrish2006 Nothing at all. In fact, I agree that it's very beautiful and full of wisdom. Whether the stories in the bible are fiction or fact, and regardless of a person's personal beliefs, the bible is full of knowledge and wisdom regarding morality and honor. The "wrong" comes into play when you bring religion into it and don't let the child explore his own heart and soul to find his own belief system before making him believe that they have no choice but to follow YOUR belief system.

@TopNotchStoner What's wrong with reciting by heart a passage about the beautiful birth of a child?
-
@piperfam Basically, I think if a child is going to be exposed to one religion, then they should be exposed to all religions, and they shouldn't be told which ones are right or wrong. They should be given room to form their own beliefs, based on the evidence that is available to them.
-
@piperfam Of course children are gonna be exposed to the beliefs of their parents; that's unavoidable, but it is my OPINION that a child shouldn't be forcefed anything that they aren't old enough or mature enough to understand for themselves. I have no problem with christianity or any other religion, but I do believe that most christians are christians just because they are taught that they are supposed to be and aren't allowed to form their own beliefs, based on what feels right for themselves.

Wow, you know God's message is great when even the youngest of us can comprehend and commit to memory, passages like these. I have been on a search for people sharing the true meaning of Christmas, now I have more to share. Thanks for taping it. Christmas 2010 I plan to share it with my friends and other children in my Sunday School group they'll love this! GREAT JOB ORISON !

It's never too early to begin the brainwashing. Good job.
It sucks that most people don't even have the chance to choose what they believe in, for themselves. Instead, the beliefs of others are pushed upon them from such an early age that they never even get the opportunity to search their own souls to discover what feels right for them. That is the wrong reason to "believe" in something.

@TopNotchStoner Well I think you make a lot of assumptions about what actually went down here. So there's that... You make a lot of assumptions about who we are and what we do.
That aside, would you suggest that parents that have a system of beliefs (whatever that system might be) should definitely try *not* to expose their children to it? In any home where there are beliefs, the children will hear their parents discussing it, participating in it, etc. Is the problem that it's Christian?
