CCR isn't southern rock. It's blues rock. There's a difference kiddo. I was there. They were a bunch of guys from California who liked the sound of Blues from the deep south. Southern rock had it's origins in the late 60s, but didn't become popular until the 1970s. Regardless, The Sheepdogs are good. My Grandson turned me onto them and it reminds me a lot of a lot of music I grew up with. Now hush and listen to the music.

And in truth, all rock should be considered southern rock, since it emerged from the fusion of blues, country, and jazz...all of which came from the southern US.

Right, but Skynard started in '64, but there were other bands too.

Skynyrd wasn't around until 1970. They didn't hit it big until then. CCR was from california, and in truth is more blues-rock than southern rock. I'll give you the band though
