Here is some info:
the new ipod classic is thinner. the ipod nano can take vdeos and not pictures. The ipod 3g is only for the 32 and 64 models and even if you update your ipod touch from 3.0 to 3.1 it wil not make your ipod touch 50% faster or have better graphics like the ipod touch 3g.
There is no 16g models.
And wouldnt it be cool if there was a camera on the ipod classic! It would be the new Flip video camera!
