Sporting Shooter's chef, Mark Gilchrist of Game For Everything, demonstrates how to pluck a pigeon, and either remove the breast meat or gut it so it's ready for the oven. by James Marchington
Honestly, it was: cleanly, neatly, and professionally done; maintaining the most civility, humanity, and decency as possible despite the human condition; and thankfully without too much brutishness or "redneck." Perhaps, I overstated a bit, but I have seen so many people attempt to educate other regarding this activity despite they themselves being quite ignorant. Our base functions do not have to be overly base. They can be improved upon through art and science. Thank you Mark.
@AlexAndArtemis dude this is a helpful video on how to clean a pigeon it is no different then a turkey, and if it was a clean shot the pigeon would die instantly with no pain
Thanks a lot! I'm a bit too late in watching this having just finished preparing my first birds a few minutes ago, however this has greatly helped me learn and will make my future birds a lot easier to prepare!
@BluSUBsound the wings and the tails feathers can be used for tying flies, Pigeon tails can be used for fly wings and also the wings can be used for hackles and wings using the primary feathers of the wings
great video
