@poppingjaz On the other hand, i dropped my nikon d5000 from about knee hight onto kitchen tiles and the kit lens i had on it completely came apart on the inside, the camera itself is fine so far though

@zedzein No worries. I've got a K-x and it's brilliant. I've got a load of old manual lenses I picked up on eBay. If you check my channel, the embedded video is an early test I did with the camera mainly using an old 50mm SLR lens. (I've since learnt how to set the camera settings better. That was all done with auto exposure / shutter speed / white balance etc.)
I own a k-7 and being my first DSLR I did a lot of research and the K-7 felt like an absolute gem for the price. Needless to say, the next camera I buy will have to do an immense amount to impress me like this camera has. Seriously please don't listen to Nikon or Canon fanboys. They make fantastic cameras no doubt but the people who act like fanboys in general have no need or clue about DSLR's and can't take photos worth a dime. I <3 my Pentax! =D

You're kidding right? Pentax primes are some of the best lenses ever made.
