After spending so much time on bass, the cello feels like a toy.

@hsu912174 hahah never have. all i know is if you tried to play this on the cello, it would sound like ass and would be easy as hell

My only question man, how the hell did you learn to read Tenor Clef? It's so odd compared to Bass and Treble Clef. I'm just looking at Koussevitzky and I can't understand the Tenor Clef just yet because I haven't really learned it. Any help?

Your playing is beautiful. It makes me want to cry...or kill myself.

@venskus2009 YAH, try playing the Bach cello suites on bass, then on cello. I didn't have a bass around when I was at home last month, so I went on to play that cello at home and learned the whole first suite. It is such a humiliating experience, I tell you, that something I've struggled so much on bass turned out to be so easy to play.

@hsu912174 HAHAH IKR? i started on bass and started messing around with cello. ( hate it) and they just have no idea how easy they have it lol

where is the 3rd movement?

I agree. And to the others that give this a negative rating...come on! It is a comment board, not a "good-comment-only board."

Bravo!! Beautifully done and the tempo in my opinion is perfect. Koussevitzky would be proud

best recording except sometimes the high E.... I think it's an E lol, is a little sharp. But this is by far my favorite.

For your information, this guy is a medicine student and has never taken up full time music studies.
incredible tone my friend. from the lowest to the highest registers your tone is both clear and full, very rich but also very articulate ... you are obviously quite talented and in possession of an incredible instrument. who did you/are you studying with and what method are you a student of?

Thanks for the good comments! I am currently working with Joel Quarrington from Toronto. I bought my instrument in Montreal but since there is no tags inside the instrument, I can't put a name on it!
Thnks again!

Isn't Joel Quarrington the guy who started the whole 5ths-tuning craze in Canada? That guy is an amazing player, I own a CD of his performances of Bottesini's music. Just wondering, how hard is to adjust to all the extra shifting you have to do in the orchestral register? I've always been curious about messing around with 5ths tuning but the huge shifts have always deterred me. By the way, I know I said this before, but I love your interpretation.

Hi to all,
Joel Quarrington is the ambassador of the fifth tunning in Canada, and elsewere in the world. Joel Q. is a very fine player, and I share your opinion on the botessini's cds. He is a really nice guy too, always ready to answer any question about anything, especially bass, and even more if it is in fifth tunning.

As for the shifting, you need to get a new way of seeing your fingerboard, because there isn't that much shifting. But you should get in touch with someone who succeed in switching from fourth to fifth if you need any help. Joel Q. is one of them!
Thanks for your great comments to all of you

Try back up your comments next time. I would like to ear you back on this (maybe after having thought about it, or tried the cello)
