Steam casting part 3

Getting ready to melt our silver to see if it works, we have a crucible where we start melting the silver and a ceramick tile to place the hot can on to keep it insulated and cause it's so hot, the ceramic can take the heat, a fire brick was suggested but I didn't have one, we got an aceteylene torch to do the job we bought some torches at lowes that wouldn't melt the silver and read this torch would do.

I'm thinking of trying this too. Did you guys burn out the wax on the stove? I would like to do that too, but I'm worried about it producing a lot of smoke and making the house smell gross.

Also were the little propane torches at Lowes the ones that didn't work?
