i'm sure Kelvin, you have moved on from this phone by now, but i wanted to ask did you install later versions of google maps on it. Does it support version 3.x.x. with 'my location' and 'lattitude'?

Haha... I did moved on from this phone. I did install Google maps on it, however I couldn't recall which version did I install. "My Location" was not supported by OS V40. I'm not sure if "My Location" of the latest version of Google Maps works with V40.

is this phone loud or very loud

Modukon92 is right. The phone is loud, but the sound quality (from speaker) is so-so. The treble is high and the bass is lacking. However the sound improved once some manual adjustment on the equalizer was made.
Who needs a good quality sound from speaker after all. The most important part is loud and clear while talking hands-free / via speaker phone. And this phone is very capable of doing that.

gsmarena says this set has one the best audio quality ever in any mobile phone or mp3 player...but that is through earphone and you need to buy a good earphone to enjoy the real music capability of this phone. As the one that comes with it sucks...

Very true indeed. I pair it with Koss KSC-75 and the sound is so much better than my cheap Sony MP3 player. Almost as good as sound coming out from my Dell Axim X50.
