Iran's stifled media - 11 Mar 08

The media in Iran has been increasingly stifled under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Newspapers have been shut down and journalists intimidated.

Many in the media had been hoping a resurgence of the Reformists in Friday's polls would see restrictions relaxed.

But as Alireza Ronaghi reports from Tehran, that's now looking unlikely.

Qatar was used as a base to re-fuel American planes on their way to Israel as it bombed Lebanon. I didnt hear this on Al-Jazeera.

Having said this Al-Jazeera is the best international news source in the world today.

Spread lies and falsehood? First of all i never said i lived in Iran, but that i have been in Iran many times, including most countries in the Middle East (also Saudi). Audhobillah brother, spreading lies and falsehood is never my intention.
