  • @DynaDash you're pretty much right, from GameSpot I found out the Brawl will be the model used to create the new ssb games for 3ds and Wii U.

    This means... everything is lost.

I was open minded until I gave Brawl a one-year chance, I do honestly regret doing so, it was a full year, and the only thing I don't regret, is to have Brawl just to play Project M.

I will of course test the new Smash if they ever release one, but I don't assure I'll like it. So, expect me playing it, maybe some videos.

  • @DynaDash well i'll be open minded enough to play all the ssb games regardless of what people say. Ya i like melee better but i don't mind brawl.

  • @SlamTheLabel Many things have gone well with improvements and other things, yes, I give you that (also, DDR is pretty much dead now).

But as with fighting games, there is already a BIG settled community which is used and married to the classic arcade sticks and the usual Xbox 360 and PS3 pads which are great, also, I don't think a new Smash Bros. would work great with motion controllers, it would make the gameplay overall slower and less frenetic.

    I'll just stay with Melee...

  • @DynaDash i get some of what your saying but think ddr that was the future of dancing gaming and it went very well. With motion controllers it could work for fighting games but for now motion controls haven't been perfected. Face it. controllers have been improved over the years and the emergence of motion controls will too.

I have reasons to doubt Nintendo, Motion Plus did not fulfill my demands, and certainly, I'd hate a fighter with "motion controllers". In this case, Nintendo might pull-off another lackluster spit-in-the-face and treacherous smash mario party. Fighting games are not made for motion controllers, it's like saying the future of dancing doesn't require for you to actually dance. An unnatural change.

  • @DynaDash dude the motion controls of now may be average and far from perfect but when motion controlling is completely accurate it will be amazing and really fun to use. Nintendo just carried away with this idea and forgot to use it to its potential. The casual market did that to the other companies as well. Motion plus has a chance as long as they find a way for it read all directions without lag. For now yes motion controls seem lame but they will get better. Don't be so hopeless.

  • @SlamTheLabel

Nintendo drained all my trust and loyalty after releasing Brawl. I don't have any kind of hope about the next Smash installment. I'm happy with the CAPCOM games so far, I don't really believe Nintendo will surprise us again after so many years after the Melee release.

If the motion controllers is the "future", I rather stay with the past, with reliability.

  • @DynaDash we'll see. Nintendo is pretty good about surprising people with the new console. They better be after 25 + years in the biz. All i want upgraded is the wiimote. The wii motion plus needs to be onpoint and used to its potential.
