Made by volunteers. On September 17, 2007 Barack Obama addressed the Wall Street community and confronted them with the truth about greed and growing income inequality in the United States. A brave and refreshingly honest speech by a true leader.

  • That is Obama. He doesn't pander. He doesn't change his position with the wind, depending on who he's talking to. He tells the truth -- always. When was the last time you could say that about a politician.

    Obama 08!!

  • This is Senator Obama's best seller for me- his lack of pandering to the power crowds- and he does it repeatedly, and, hopefully, not at his peril. Look at his speech in Detroit to the auto crowd, everytime he speaks to teachers, and also when he spoke to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Each time, he told them a lot of what they could care less about hearing. Beyond dynasty lives Barack Obama.

  • NYC, NY,NJ, CT all blue states. All the wall street types live in these states and they are NYC suburbs. all vote blue so how is it the GOP faul;t. They should have known that democrats would spend too much money

  • In 2005,Obama & the entire Congressional Black Caucus were visited by the CEO of FANNIE MAE who warned of the problems facing them - he referred to the "black caucus" as "family" & asked for their help. NOT 1 OF THOSE AT THE CAUCUS LIFTED A FINGER TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION. No bill written by Obama or any in the black caucus. Shame on Obama for saying one thing to our face & doing the opposite behind closed doors. Obama did nothing. The video of the FANNIE MAE mtg is here on youtube, watch it.

  • It's great to hear some intelligent discourse from a presidential candidate. I never cease to be impressed with Obama's words.

Incidentally... to the person who posted this video, what's the backing music? It reminds me a lot of the Balanescu Quartet, though I've never heard this piece before, and I'd like to hear more of it.

    Thanks!

  • these words ring especially true today.

    Obama 08!

  • A suggestion: Lose the music! It's just a distraction, and makes it more difficulty to follow Obama's words.

  • These are the words that Obama must use over the next 8 weeks to re-inforce in voters' minds that he is the best choice for President, which I believe. He is 100% right when he says prosperity in America is not determined by the # of billionaires we have, but rather the opportunity for prosperity for all Americans.

  • the great part is that he actually affects the people who doesnt agree with him even!..

    thats amazing!...

  • The previous commentary couldn't be more right...this is a fine example of Obama telling the special interests "not want they want to hear, but what they need to hear".

This could potentially air in Pennsylvania right now IMO.

    What do you think Rorchik?

  • ...what we think. well, if you have all these bold plans that you're afraid of talking about to the public, how are you gonna get people to support you when you're in office? so she's telling us: close your eyes, incremental changes...and once she's in: surprise! suprise! gotcha america! i have all these plans i wanna get done. but you can't get involved. give me a break.

  • yes indeed. the biggest draw for me? it's that he's not waging a class warfare. But he said that he's building consensus for when he's president. A president without mandate won't get a thing done. Hillary tells us we can think big but we shouldn't tell the american people.
