So after blazing through the rest of the crystals available except the dragon and the middle dungeon boss (the birds weren't even remotely challenging, that's a crystal battle?) I realized that the middle territory actually has a crystal in the open field.
Says level 49, should be easy right, compared to the others?
Wrong.
This battle is intensely annoying for my normal strategies mainly because:
1. Megaspin is multihit, basically making Mirage Eye useless when used.
2. It hits people on the same column, so look for me constantly moving back into position to prevent this.
3. Overdrive IGNORES Mirage Eye, what the hell?
4. You can get Flamed through Defend.
So yeah, the general strategy of Defend into Mirage Eye really did not work here, because while Mirage Eye really nullified all of Talos's powerful single hits, Megaspin flat out laughs at it, pushes people onto the same column for more Megaspin garbage, and Overdrive just goes through it.
I think this is the first crystal battle I was forced to use healing items.
In retrospect, perhaps if I used the single file formation I could just concentrate on healing one person, I did beat this battle before with only three people I just hate having people die in Single Player.
Next is Dragon Crystal...he's too fast though.
I have the nekomimi but I don't know if it's even possible at my current levels without revive.
Goddamn this boss battle is long, I don't even wanna imagine how long the final boss will take to beat x_x maybe like an hour and a half xD

@unrealmanner
It's from the same company, Vanillaware. Also this game is for the PSP. You should check out Dragon's Crown, amazing looking game from Vanillaware.

Whoa looks tough! What console is this for? It looks rather interesting. The art style reminds me of Odin Sphere for the ps2.
