He talks about an experience in which he had been influenced by a demon after exposing himself to the enemy, although he had been set apart for Christ.

My opinion is of course no, if you are really walking with Christ, actively pursuing him or set apart for him; however, if you are backsliding, then you are in essence playing Russian roulette, albeit placing your chips on the square of God's grace.

But what is a true Christian? One who is like Christ. Even the most holy people on earth are only yet striving for this type of Christianity. One hypocrite can do more damage to the church than 100 atheists, satanists, and practitioners of falsehood. Christians must stand in their authority over Satan and take responsibility for their own actions, rather than taking a flirting chance with sin.

good point. hard to convince people of that though, even pentecostals and other mainliners have seem to lost site of that. Heck, I even heard a pentecostal hold up a communion chip and say "This is the body... I don't know how that works, but it really is Jesus body." During the reformation time protestants were burned alive for refusing to agree with this statement and stating it was merely a symbol.

Also some spirits are stubborn this takes fasting and prayer as stated in Mark chapter 9:25-29. However some bible versions do not have this passage. Seems like somebody does not want you to know this. The New American Standard and NIV version tells you about prayer in Mark 9:29 but leaves out fasting.

I'm not stuck on king james, but it was certainly translated from better manuscripts. Any serious bible student needs one.

NIV and others also rearranged "The effectual fervent prayer of

a righteous man availeth much."--Jas. 5:16.

Apparently, Christians don't have to pray as intensely as they used to, so says the modern versions. modern versions also try to dilute the deity of Christ in some passages.
