    That is why I install the CPU with the motherboard on the box. You can test to see if the system will post before you install it into the case.

    just make sure not to power on the system if the motherboard is sitting on the anti static bag. The electricity can pass through the bag like a wire and short out the motherboard.

    This guy is doing everything that you shouldn't do... You don't press the CPU into the motherboard and you don't put the motherboard on the plastic packaging which is full of static...
