Oscar currently knows three tricks: wave, turn around, and basketball. We're currently working on the ring toss thing.

  • what should i do if my bird does not want the reward..with clickertraining?

  • @ATouchOfMagic88

Either keep looking for a different treat he's willing to work for, or take away his food for a couple hours so he's a little hungry and more apt to working for food. (not saying you should take away food all day, just a little bit for him to gain an appetite)

  • Oscar is really good! So Oscar is clicker trained?

  • Yep, he's clicker trained! I find it works like a charm.

  • @macawlover2 thank you! Will try this :) mine has access to food 24 hours a day...

  • thanks for the reply again i have nothing to ask anymore ^^ i got all information to you im getting 2 of those and im getting a big cage. ill be training my pet also like yours.

  • That's ok, asking lots of questions is GREAT before you get a bird! And no, that particular bite didn't hurt, but they can definitely break the skin if they want to! How old is the bird you're getting? How big is the cage for him/her? Make sure you get him lots of toys! If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask!

Oh, and they poop once every 30 minutes or so, so you'll have to clean the cage papers about every other day. Make sure you give him a healthy pellet diet rather than seeds.

  • thanks fro replying im getting one soon. and do it bleed? and how about his poop? im sorry for alot question cause i need to be ready ^^

  • Yeah, any parrot can bite. I think that anyone who's ever owned a parrot has been/will be bitten at one point or another.

The only time I've been bitten from Oscar was when I had to break up some squabbling between him and Cheyenne (B&G macaw). It HURT!

  • do they bite?
