Pretty realistic unfortunately. It's always the innocent bystander that catches one to the melon. Some kid or school teacer or some shit. Fucked up.

The most realistic part of the scene, IMHO, is that "This is not Hollywood" applies to the characters themselves. It shows how actually hitting someone with a gun is almost impossiblle if he is not within 30 feet, standing still, and you can take aim. These dudes fire half of the ammo fired in Iraq, alternating between "cool poses" and running for their life, and no one is even scratched. The only casualty of the firefight, at the end, is an innocent hit by an unlucky stray.
