During the summer of 2005, filmmaker Gordon Forbes spent three months embedded with the U.S. Marines 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion during their deployment to the Sunni Triangle in Iraq. He documented the daily grind and struggles of the men in Alpha Company as they fought the War on Terror, thousands of miles away from home. While most networks send a crew to shoot only enough footage for a 90-second highlight piece, this three-part documentary covers several operations — from helicopter raids and mounted patrols to everyday interactions with the people of Iraq.
@Dashnikian do you think they kill civilians intentionally?? yeah it is sad for tthe lost of civilian lives, i agree 100%, but try and look at things both ways,...if u lookin for someone to blame, blame the government, not the men that are doing what they are told to do without any choice....

Those young girls made me furious, their situation I mean. I do not envy these soldiers, I can't say what I may do in their shoes. Jesus... and the same mistreatment happens all over the world to kids.

@Dashnikian Watch Marines in Helmand. At one point they accidentally kill several civilians and they're devastated by it. This is war though and there's not a whole lot that they can do to avoid civilian casualties.
You can disagree with the war all you want (I know that i've never agreed with the war in Iraq), but I really don't see how you can fault the soldiers. Especially the soldiers in this documentary that just wanted a father to treat his children better. What's so bad about that?

@82Jaster you'd wish they reacted the same way when they killed civilians themselves.

@Dashnikian They're doing their job whether you like it or not. So they're better unless you're attempting to suggest that it's that mans job to treat his children like that.
What's stopping him from taking his children outside of that hot house? What's stopping him from actually cleaning that house up so that his children don't have to sit in their own feces? Those are things that wouldn't actually cost him any money.

What the hell do they want him to do? they are over there killing people they are in no way better, if he had a government who could help his kids special needs it wouldnt be like that, a couple of javelin rockets would pay for that.
