Gabi - SCI Stem Cell Patient

Gabi has received five rounds of adult stem cell treatments over the past four years. He believes that the infusions of umbilical cord blood stem cells have significantly improved his condition.

Firmly quadriplegic until receiving stem cell treatments, Gabi has regained upper body movement and limited lower body movement. His sense of touch has extended down his legs. He has regained sweat function and bladder control.

He has also received over 32 separate transplants of umbilical cord blood stem cells throughout the course of his recovery. During his vigorous physical therapy sessions Gabi learned Chinese. He jokes that the stem cells probably helped out a bit.
