“We’re definitely good, but I don’t think you can say we’re that original,” he notes. “I regard us as being incredibly good plagiarists.” Coldplay front man Chris Martin in a rolling stone magazine interview

Oh fuck off, Coldplay haters, please? I'm tired of your hating arguments about Coldplay. And by the way, Coldplay played that to Rihanna and her studio people before anything get released. If coldplay had stolen from this song, I highly doubt they'd let rihanna record it. I mean, they'd have to pay billions for copyright stuff, duh. They're not stupid. [But u guys seem to be]

@MauroRincon If I played do re mi do in "my song" and Paul Mccartney played the same in his, it wouldn't mean he copied me! It means we wrote a song with some equal notes, accidentally, and it looked like the same melody! But it's two different songs, with different lyrics and melodies. Same for Joe's and Coldplay's songs, so please! And if you don't like it, don't hear it. Don't comment on it.

@MauroRincon Please, Coldplay didn't steal shit! Coldplay is an original band, and that's why their band is worldwide famous. Maybe Joe Satriani's song and their song look alike, but it was comproved that they aren't the same. They played Joe Satriani's version on the piano and it didn't sound the same. And what! Play I'm yours and Let it be on the piano! They look EXACTLY the same but no one says jason mraz copied it! Because he didn't. Neither did Coldplay!

@toan153 of course not. 1st. I highly doubt coldplay was listening to vietnamese music. 2nd the only part who sounds alike it's the "aaaaaya" and their version is "ooooh" and it only appears like.. 3 times in the song? They're kinda similar, but they're not the same. 3rd they created the frickin rest of the song, and lyrics and all, and they made the song internationally famous, with their talent. Theirs and Rihanna's. So please.......

Thumbs up if you're here because of coldplay ;P!!! ...
If anything the only thing coldplay has done is allowed us to listen to music we've never heard before :)

This only has a passing resemblance with Princess of China. The two are significantly different songs. Besides, I highly doubt Coldplay was listening to Vietnamese music and either way, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, no?
