This is the bag i used to carry...switched to veto pro pack "LC" which is heavier but doesn't wear out on the bottom like previous bags.

  • use a bucket

  • @therohvac of course i carry a bucket... nice step stool, but i like my tools to have their place. I use a bucket boss for my satellite stuff, but for everyday tools, my LC has everything where I expect it to be. I gave away my last bag like this one, because my veto pro pack is the last bag I'll buy.

  • Damn fine set up !!!

That funny ,I think if you did a poll , on all your old bags , 90% of us have had same bags... LOL

I use old ones to pack 3/4" pvc, black iron, big pipe wrenches etc... Just grab and go ...

    I LUV KLIEN !!!

I have been using several small bags now (gettin OLD, backs hurtin) , outdoor unit bag, furnace bag , and off course the 500 lb Installation bag , which if I'm blessed with help , guess what they get to carry ... LOL

  • @fritzhvac I should copy Dr Z and do a Van video... I have an old bag as a secondary, a couple awp bags for sheet metal, and PVC bags. The first bag in the video, I've converted to a light bag...something to throw a few tools in if I'm going up on a roof. It's got a nice shoulder strap. The new bag does too, but weighs lots.

  • @FilterChanger

Yea man , I would really like to see how you got her outfitted !!!

Back when I first started ,I would try and pack everything at once (god bless shoulder straps) !!! Been using a Back Pack lately for PVC , got pockets for glue and cleaner ...

I guess it takes a little seasoning , to figure out you don't need every tool in your arsenel !!! LOL

  • @fritzhvac We carry lots of parts on the vans. Boards for all brands, motors for everything, gas valves, etc... not lots of room for tools. One of the oil guys calls my van disgusting, but I'll try to get her cleaned up a bit and make a vid.

  • i use a bucket to carry Klein zipper pouches with specific tools in them.

It makes the tool load so much lighter. A heavy tool bag ruined my back. over the years.

Now I have to take 40mg of hydrocodone and 30 mg of flexeril to get thru the work day.

Don't let the same thing happen to you.

  • Do you know HvaClover?

  • use a bucket

  • @FilterChanger Man I do not miss smelling that oil at all , On a changeout , no matter what precations I took the CRAP would be everywhere , and Stink to high heaven for weeks , it was always the middle of winter when you had to have windows all the way up !!! I mostly install , (thats why all service questions) , I must have every damn tool you can think of on there , and on my racks a couple of motors , caps , hardstarts etc ....

Looking forward to your service van video !!!

  • @PutSome5tankOnIt

Your RIGHT 5tank, thats all you need , I pack the 11-in-1 klien , and klien strippers , in my side pockets of my carhartts (plenty of room, not to bulky, don't even know there there), with the real small channies (thats usally all I need to get started) , and my Fieldpiece in my right hand !!! LOL

The klien , 11-in-1 have had it for a almost year now , you can pull blower motors with it !!! Rock on KLIEN !!!
