Autism Speech About Jesse's Life With Autism

Jesse's grade 8 class had to present speeches. Because Jesse has Autism he struggles with putting his thoughts into words. His TA/ASW & I co-wrote a speech for Jesse to present to his class. The class & the teachers were moved by his speech & he was asked to deliver his speech to the Middle School - this is it. Jesse only began to talk 7 years ago - he sure has come a long way and we are so proud of him.

Hey, buddy you are doing AWSOME! I am 46 yr old man W/Below Aspergers Functioning Autism! We need to raise awarness so that both ;you and I can work some day! I cannot work because, Nobody understands that I do have a Disability!

You have been being helped from 2 but, I did not get any kind of help until around 1992!You are a SUPER GREAT KID! NEVER GIVE UP AND ALWAYS BE YOURSELF! When you turn 20 tell everyone you are an adult & I will ask you 4 help when I need it but, let me do my own things
