Sean Bell Civil Demonstration in Harlem

These views are from the protest march held here in New York on Wed. May 7 protesting the verdict against the New York City police officers charged in the shooting death of Sean Bell and the wounding of his two friends outside of a Queens nightclub in November 2006 on what was to be his wedding day. These protests were oranized by the Rev. Al Sharpton and held simultaneously at six locations in New York City. This is at 125th Street and Lexington Ave going down to second Avenue and back to Lexington Ave. At Second Ave., protestors sat down blocking traffic coming off the Triboro Bridge and entering.This march was peaceful with the arrest of the demonstrators that sat down in the streets blocking traffic.
