  • I think its a good and effective idea to use sound for detecting, but not totally secure. with the self testing method, I don't know the working method with yours, but I think most of new enterprise models of IR sensors have the same function too.(ex. 1 hour of no signal in working day = emergency alert). But with pros, they will cut a phone line ,and set up a programmed PBX can bypass the security confirmation call. GSM emg. line can be jammed too. and its a silent device... can you beat them?

  • I would be happy to meet with you and review our technologies in person even if you work for a conventional alarm company.

  • yeah. may be the criminals can use a glue gun to the audio module.

or some kind of radio jamming signals. its invisible and its dead too.

  • @pppoe Sonitrol audio sensors have a self-testing feature that will detect if a sensor has been blocked by anything - glue, insulation etc. The sensor cannot be jammed by radio frequencies.

  • What you can do for the audio sensor is make it emit an inaudible high frequency. Then if someone puts glue or something over the sensor to block it, it detects that it can no longer hear the high frequency, thus meaning that the sensor is broken

  • People in Canada don't lock their doors.
