Now make a Minigun and put the tank on your back :D
-
1:21, rapid fire!
-
@nasphere You should totally put the gas tank/pump assemble in a backpack, and make a gun with the momentary switch/battery source, the connections, and the barrel in it. Market it as a gas-charged airsoft gun. :D
-
@nasphere Also was that a momentary switch to use with the battery source for ignition of the charge inside the barrel?
-
not realy airsot
-
hey! i have the same multi tool
-
electrolysis?
-
show the damage!

Hey dude, Check out what else you can do hho. Check out HL-63 vs water jug.

is the explosion pressure something to worry about? I'm currently making a self-contained (except for the 9-volt) one inside a pen and I'm wondering if the whole thing will explode

not anything to worry about.. ear and eye protection is recommended, that's all.

I assume that you know a thing or two about electrical wiring to make this, but if you use a dpdt relay, you can have a 555 do the work of filling the chamber and then firing, by having one 555 as a PWM and then the other as a lasting switch, toggling the relay between filling with gas and then driving the spark.
hit me up with questions if this didnt make sense.
Basically, you can make it semi auto fairly easily.

true, but there's a valve that has to be cycled mechanically every shot. I was thinking about a pressure sensitive switch to keep the fill tube at a certain pressure, and tie the valve and ignition button to the trigger for semi auto fire.

ok a little diffrent but show a diagram of your proposed mechanisim hard too tell from looks......

it has a cutoff chamber to keep the hydrogen explosion from going back through the pump and into the bottle. It's virtually harmless even if this happens because it's an implosion, but more of a waste of fuel. there's a valve that has to be cycled every shot, and the orange thing is a pump to pressurize the cutoff tank for faster fueling.
