@gabe228 @gabe228 I wouldn't say overrated by any means. Mark possessed tennis genious; as exemplified in this match against Sampras. Consistency was Mark's problem. The very next round of this tournament Philippoussis was beaten by fellow compatriot Mark Woodforde. How do you justify beating a player of Pete's caliber then losing to Woodforde who was a doubles specialist? This basically defined Mark's professional career.

This idiot was a wasted talent and this match wasnt a brilliant match it was just him hitting as hard as he could and getting lucky that EVERYTHING worked for him, also Sampras played stupid tennis and tried to match him. At the USO later that year he played much smarter and won in straights
