@jambosti Why compare? For one, VW is being paid huge amounts to pump out what I feel is very bland music while BR is most likely earning the equivalent of minimum wage for their brilliance. Secondly, the level of exposure VW gets influences the direction of future musicians, and I would much rather hear bands emulating BR. I have a similar problem with Kings of Leon and all the other bands that sound like average buttrock with a dash of Talking Heads. Born Ruffians are way closer to the source.

@indiesk8r1 I don't see the need to compare them to vampire weekend, completely different music. Both are very good. Actually a lot of music just isn't comparable at all.

wow, I thought this song was good... until I heard the original, now I think it's the best indie rock song in years. Vampire weekend is nowhere near as good as these guys.
