I think Oppenheim's work in this case speaks on so many levels that I would have difficulty seeing it as simply "positive" or "negative" - even disregarding what you descibe as the reason Vancouver chose the piece. Youtube won't let me make a comment long enough to fully address it! So, in the interest of brevity, let me just say; "ROOT"!
