This really is an Album (both actually) that stands of the time marker, It is so simplistic in its sound and so complex in its creation. These boys got it right, and will live on in my daughter's ears....this is what I had during the Hairband years Honey.
Yeah, it really is that good.

sick!! in 1988 i rocked these guys on my walkman when i'd go skateboarding, now i rock them on my ipod when i skate. funny how times change, yet stay the same. awesome find on the you tube tonight. grew up in pennsylvania, and my older brother brought home their tape from texas. so stoked he did. exposed me to some good shit.

I picked up on Junkyard after reading a Rip Magazine article on them, decided to give them a shot, sounded like my kind of band in the day. I ended up wearing out two copies of the debut album in my cassette player over the following year!!! Great music, Big Chris!!! Still a huge fan! Been looking to find the debut album and "6s, 7s and 9s" on CD.

It's the Spahn Ranch, but Spawn makes sense too.

@mak1203136 We did a UK tour supporting the Almighty in 1990 or '91 - it was a ball!We have tried to get back to the UK several times but they make it VERY difficult to get the permits, etc... I'd love to come back, and if the opportubity arrises you just never know...

@CarlMichaelBurford - The band was the Skatenigs. Phil Owen (lead singer) has a new version of the band together that's supposed to be pretty good.

Yeah, they hired the "power ballad guy" to direct it and gave us zero input.. The models wouldn't even talk to us... But the set from Gomer Pyle USMC and Spawn Ranch (Charles Manson's place) were just over the hill... so we had that going for us.
